The Bulgarian Folklore Gate
Dear friends of the Bulgarian Music and Dance Folklore!
Welcome
Welcome to the site of the Folk Dance Academy ORSE!
The current issue of the Orse will take place from 5 till 14 September 2014. This year our program based on our accumulated experience, state-of-the-art methods and promotion on the digital ontology Difon is radically updated. The slogan of the academy – “Everybody plays. We dance!” is achieved by applying contemporary information and communication technology (ICT) in the learning process and practical mastery of the specific dance language by the method of explosion and implosion (element, movement, motive, combination, figure, part of dance and in the end - dance). Two main programs have been developed – one for beginners in the world of the Bulgarian dance and other - for advanced.
ORSE's Folklore Dance Academy is one of the BEST in Bulgaria.
Who is Academy Orse intended for?
Every amateur and connoisseur of the Bulgarian dance folklore can participate – both Bulgarian and foreigners of all ages and all part the world. Each participant in the Orse Academy will be acquainted with the samples of the horos, games and ruchenica from the six ethnographic regions of Bulgaria as well as samples of Bulgarian dance choreography (for detail information click on “Main program Orse”). During the 10-day program of the Academy multimedia archive will be created and a copy of which on DVD will be provided to each participant. The main program of the Orse Academy is accompanied by the visits to villages with authentic folklore and meeting with people–living national treasures. Each evening will have an accent related to Bulgarian folk traditions. The successful graduates of the academy Orse will receive certificates by the Bulgarian Folk Music and dance Association as well as free access to MOOC (online learning system) with application of Difon Ontology.
